What is the Lower School uniform?
Boys wear navy blue or khaki walking shorts or long pants. Girls wear navy blue or khaki walking shorts, long pants, knee length skorts, or skirts. Girls may also wear jumpers or skirts in the SSSAS plaid which can be purchased or ordered at the Flynn and O’Hara store. Both boys and girls wear collared long or short sleeved knit shirts or turtlenecks in solid colors of red, navy blue, green, yellow or white. Plain sweaters, sweatshirts or “Saints” sweatshirts in solid colors of red, navy blue, green, yellow or white may be worn as well. Students are to wear shoes or sneakers which provide substantial foot support for walking, recess and physical education classes.

During the school year, some Fridays are designated as “Dress Down” days and students can wear casual attire and not the daily dress attire. Leggings, short-shorts, tank tops and flip-flops or slides are not permitted at any time.

What are the birthday cut-off dates for application to junior kindergarten and kindergarten?
In order to apply for kindergarten, applicants must be five years of age before September 1 of the year of entry; however, applicants whose birthdays occur between September 1 and December 31 can be considered for junior kindergarten.
When does the Admission Office accept applications?
The Admission Office accepts applications beginning September 15 for the following school year. Our application deadline is January 15.

When will I know if my child has been accepted?
Decision letters for JK-11 are mailed March 7, 2008.
My child is in preschool and has no records. Do I still need to give the Record Release Form to the director?
Yes, the director will sign the lower portion of the Record Release Form and return to our school even without formal records.
My child is applying to the Middle School, but only has one classroom (homeroom) teacher. Do I need a second teacher recommendation?
You may ask one of your child’s current specialty teachers (art, science or music) or a former classroom (homeroom) teacher to complete the second recommendation.
