EXPANDING SPANISH PROGRAM IN THE LOWER SCHOOL IN 2007-2008!
¡Viva el Español!

We are excited to announce that, beginning in September 2007, students in grades JK-3 will receive instruction in Spanish. This early introduction to a foreign language will enable students to acquire vocabulary and an ear for foreign language comprehension at a time of great cognitive growth and openness to such learning. Students will also learn the music and customs of different Spanish-speaking countries.

Students in grades 4-5 will continue to be able to choose between French and Spanish. Latin is an additional choice in grades 6-12. Advanced Placement courses in all three languages are offered in the Upper School. We believe this addition of Spanish in the early years will enhance our already strong foreign language program and prepare students for a global society.
