In addition to a full academic program, Lower School students may participate in a variety of extracurricular activities. Brownies, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts meet once a week after school hours. Private art, fencing, ceramics, keyboarding, individual tutoring, gymnastics, and a science club are offered after school. These activities are subject to change depending on the interest level and availability of space.
A rich and rewarding school experience consists of more than a full academic program, and the Middle School strives to provide opportunities for all students, regardless of their particular interests and gifts, to shine. In-school activities include a literary magazine, student government (S.C.A.), and clubs. During three-day mini-courses, which occur before spring vacation, students explore enriching topics and activities not taught as part of the daily curriculum.
Students in the Upper School may choose from a variety of extra-curricular activities, including a Student Council, Guild, Computer Club, Language Clubs for Chinese, French, Spanish and Latin, Debate, and a Drama Club. Students may also participate in production of the yearbook, student newspaper, and annual literary magazine.
The school offers a course in athletic training and fields teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, field hockey, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.
