S t. Stephen’s & St. Agnes provides caring, safe after-school programs to provide scheduling flexibility for our busy families. The Lower School offers three Extended Care options for our students: 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. five days a week; 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. three days a week; and 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. five days a week. Drop-in care is available on a limited, reservation-only basis, and reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. This program is staffed by current and former Lower School faculty members, and is located on the lower level of Daniel Gym on the Lower School campus.
Lower School students who are on campus after dismissal have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities. Brownies, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts meet once a week after school hours. Private art lessons, fencing, creative writing, a construction club, gymnastics, and a science club are just a few of the activities that have been offered in the past. These are subject to change depending on the interest level and availability of space.
At the Middle School campus, students can attend an afternoon study hall until 6:00 p.m. that includes homework time, a period of play supervised by Middle School faculty members, and an opportunity to eat a snack. Board games and other activities are available for student use.
