Scene from A Midsummer Night's Dream

Opening November 7, 2025: "A Midsummer Night’s Dream"

Exuberant. Irrepressible. Romantic. Lush. Entrancing.
And “the silliest stuff that ever [you’ve] heard!”

These words describe what many consider to be Shakespeare’s finest, funniest comedy. Bring your friends and family—ages 5 to 95—and get ready to laugh and gasp at the antics of kings, queens, elves, and mortals, as played by our cast of 17 actors; and to ooh and aah over the gorgeous world of the show created by our production team of 30 designers and crew!

Featuring recent Middle School Saints Acting Guild thespians and winter Theater Tech alums in the spotlight and behind the scenes, as well as Stage One’s core of talented 9th-12th grade actors, designers, and managers, "A Midsummer Night's Dream" promises…

  • kings and queens battling for power
  • a love quadrangle of highly dramatic teenagers
  • magical practical jokes
  • a hilariously inept play-within-a-play
  • some of Shakespeare’s most famous lines, including:  “The course of true love never did run smooth” and “Lord, what fools these mortals be!”
  • original music by Stage One composers
  • lots and lots of laughter!

All performances are in the Chapel/Performing Arts Center at the Upper School:
Friday, November 7 at 7:00 p.m.
