Middle School Academic Departments

Technology Education

The instruction in and use of appropriate technology is integrated throughout the Middle School curriculum in all disciplines. The computer lab and the Middle School technology coordinator serve as resources for Middle School students and teachers as they undertake projects which are designed to further the development of knowledge, computer skills, and problem-solving abilities. Students use productivity applications (including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, graphics, and presentation and publishing software), hardware (including scanners, digital and video cameras, and SmartBoards) and online resources to accomplish their academic tasks. Students learn to use technology in a positive, productive, safe, and ethical manner.
