SRCA MEETING RE: TRAFFIC CHANGES TO DUKE STREET
Many of our SSSAS families have indicated they are looking for more information about the proposed increases in building density and traffic changes for Duke Street. On Wednesday, June 10, at 7:30 p.m., the Seminary Ridge Civic Association (SRCA) is hosting a neighborhood meeting at the SSSAS Upper School to discuss these topics. More information, including how to join the meeting remotely, is available in this flyer from the SCRA.

REMINDERS

Dear Families,

As we close another school year, I find myself reflecting with deep gratitude and appreciation for this community. This year marked my third year as Director of the Lower School, and with each passing year, I feel more connected to the students, families, faculty, and traditions that make this school special.

The Lower School continues to be our little oasis of joy! It is a place where curiosity is encouraged, confidence is nurtured, and children are valued and celebrated for who they are. Each day, I am inspired by your children. I love their laughter, creativity, resilience, kindness, and eagerness to learn. They bring energy into every classroom, hallway, and playground, reminding us of the beauty, wonder, and innocence of childhood.

I continue to be grateful for our talented and dedicated faculty and staff whose care and commitment shape the daily experiences of our students. The work that they do goes above and beyond classroom instruction. They work hard to create spaces where students feel seen, valued, and heard.

I also want to thank you all for your continued partnership, trust, and encouragement. The connection between home and school is important, and I am thankful for the many ways you support and uplift the Lower School each day.

As summer begins, I hope your days are filled with rest, renewal, laughter, adventure, and meaningful time with loved ones! Thank you for sharing your children with us this year. It is a privilege and joy to walk alongside them during these important years of growth.

Warmly,

LaNessa West
Lower School Director

FIFTH GRADE RECOGNITION CEREMONY & ATTIRE
We are excited to celebrate our annual Fifth Grade Recognition Ceremony on Macan Field at 9:00 a.m. The event will be live-streamed so that family members can choose to watch the ceremony virtually in real time away from campus. Please tune in at 9:00 a.m. to view the live ceremony. Please feel free to share the information with family members and special friends. We will share the recording of the service in the coming days.

END-OF-THE-YEAR TRANSPORTATION
Please review the campus schedules for end-of-the-year transportation. Note that special intercampus shuttles will be available for our Middle School students on select days. You can find all campus-specific details via the link below.
