Technology Curriculum Integration

Students in grades JK-12 develop technology skills through integrated activities in all content areas, rather than through specific technology courses. Working with their campus technology coordinator, teachers introduce, develop, and refine technical skills as an integral part of the learning process. Using school defined technology standards as guidelines, teachers design lessons and projects that help prepare our students to meet the challenges of today’s complex and changing technology-rich world.

At all grade levels students observe responsible use of technology systems, information, and software; respect for intellectual property, including fair use and copyright guidelines; the school’s acceptable use policy; state and federal laws regarding technology use; and proper citation of resources.

Podcasting at the Lower School

Students in the Lower School create and publish a weekly news podcast on our internal website called The Saints News. Small groups of students meet in the computer lab with our Lower School technology coordinator and take turns both in front of and behind the camera. Occasional guest appearances by faculty and staff, reports "on location" while on field trips, and other special features make each edition unique. All classes of the Lower School view the podcast, and parents are invited to view it online as well on our secure, internal website.
