Tuition and Financial Aid

At Stephen's and St. Agnes School, we are proud of what we offer as a coeducational, Episcopal day school for JK-12. At the same time, we are fully aware that an independent school education is a major investment. A number of options are available to help you meet the cost of our education.

A St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School education brings significant returns on your investment throughout your child's life. This financial decision requires each individual family to address their personal needs and priorities. This shared experience is a unifying factor among parents within our community. During your visit to our campus, we encourage you to ask us for more information about how you can make this opportunity a reality for your child and a financial possibility for your family.

Payment Plans

The Business Office works closely with families to help them budget annual tuition and fees. To assist families in managing payments, in addition to a full payment plan in July, we offer multiple payment plans through the SMART Tuition program. With SMART, tuition payments are conveniently made via automatic bank payments (direct debits) or by credit card.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is based on financial need. For 2017-18, St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School allocated 4.9 million dollars, representing 22 percent of the student body. Grants range from 5 percent to 90 percent of the total tuition. Financial aid is not available for the Junior Kindergarten program.

Applications for financial aid are available online. Please contact Jill Iverson at 703-212-2707 for more information. The application and supporting tax documents must be submitted by February 1

Financial aid decisions for new families are mailed March 2. Decisions for current families are mailed in mid-April. Grants are based on need and are made independent of admission decisions.
