To help guide the transition to our middle school's academic program, we request that each new student take an English and Math Skills Assessment. The assessment provides useful information as we consider how best to support and challenge each of our students.

Upper School Placement Testing
(Rising Grades 9-12)
Placement tests will be given in the areas of Modern and Classical Language and Mathematics, as these disciplines can differ from school to school in their sequence and breadth of presentation. The results of the placement testing will assist in scheduling your child's academic course load for the upcoming school year. Please confirm attendance with Scott McLeod or 703-212-2706
Please note: If your child does not currently take a foreign language, a language placement test will not be required.

Course registration information, including each students course registration form, are due a week and a half after the receipt of this information.

Fall Sports Preseason and Tryout Information

Information is sent to families regarding fall sports preseason tryouts and practice, as well as any required forms.

Mid August Mailed Packet: Letter from Head of School, Calendar, Student/Parent Handbook, Directory In this paper mailing you will receive information for the beginning of the school year including a letter from the head of school, the school calendar, Student/Parent Handbook, and Directory.

Located at the Upper School.
Students are expected to attend one of the two sessions being offered. Each session is limited to 15 students. Students participating in preseason football should attend the first session. Students participating in all other preseason sports may attend either session.

August 23 Class of 2025 Party Great social bonding opportunity for all members of our Class of 2025.  The event will take place at the end of New Student Orientation and more details will be sent separately by our 6th Grade Dean, Kristen Silberberg, ksilberberg@sssas.org.
September 4 Welcome Day for all Divisions This is an informal event. Students do not have to wear uniforms/dress code that day.  Magnus health and emergency information must be submitted online before Welcome Day.
September 5 First Day of School for All Divisions!
St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School is an independent, college-preparatory, coed, day, Episcopal Church School that educates students in junior kindergarten through grade 12.
