The Extended Day Program truly is a home away from home for our Saints. It is a place that is beloved because of the dedicated staff and their commitment to the well-being of every child.

Extended Day for Grades 2 through 5 Students

The Extended Day Program offers morning and afternoon care services to all Lower School families. The principal goal of Lower School Extended Day is to provide a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment for students beyond the hours of the normal school day.

Morning Care

In the morning, the 3rd through 5th grade students are based out of the Macan Dining Hall. Please note, in the morning 2nd grade students report to the multi-purpose room in MacKinnon.

After Care

In After Care, our students begin each afternoon with their Extended Day friends eating a snack provided by the school. The remainder of the day is filled with outdoor play, crafts, reading, games or participation in a variety of imaginative activities led by our group of experienced faculty members.

In the afternoon, 2nd through 5th grade students are based out of the Lower Level of Daniel Gym and Macan Dining Hall.

Extended Day Staff

My daughter asks to be the last one picked up on vacation club days. The variety of organized activities makes the day fun and there is also time for organic play. Art projects, bingo, baking, and movies are widely appealing options. Field trips to a corn maze, Zava Zone, and The St. James were particular favorites for my daughter.
Once, she missed a vacation club day in lieu of a sleepover. Later, she heard from friends who attended that they baked pies and made smores. She kindly asked to attend all future vacation club days no matter what. As a parent, it is extremely convenient to have this program on professional days and days when the Lower School isn't in session.
