At SSSAS teachers care about not only how you are doing in school, but out of school as well. I love that our classes are smaller and the common spaces are calmer (ex. classrooms, dining hall, ect.). The food at SSSAS is amazing and it tastes homemade.
I enjoyed the Middle Ages Fair. This project is when we get assigned one person from the Middle Ages and we research and study this person so we are able to make a speech and create a Powtoon, which is an animated video. Then we present our speech and video to our parents and the seventh and eighth graders.
I like drama. Drama allows you to express yourself through another character that you did not think was possible. I love to be on stage, I do not like to speak in front of lots of people, but when you are acting, there is no fear.
I liked making a 3D model of a fidget spinner in math class. We had to make a unique fidget spinner (or a jewelry piece) and calculate the volume. I liked the project because although there were a few requirements, we were given the creative freedom to decide how we wanted to do the assignment.
I think that it is important to keep our Earth clean. I went to a park with my 11-person advisory and we cleaned it up and I think we made a huge impact. We counted how many bottle caps we picked up and it was 574.

At SSSAS I’ve learned to be resilient and keep trying no matter what. Learning to strengthen my resilience has changed how I am every day and I feel so much stronger because of it.
I love to walk and play with my dog, sew, and hang out with friends.
What is your favorite spot on campus and why?
I like to go to the outdoor playground on the Lower School campus because it is so quiet.
Where have you traveled?
I have been all over the country, but never outside of it.
What new things have you tried at SSSAS?
I was in a choir.

*What is Advisory? All students have a faculty advisor who helps with academics and school life. During this time you can meet with teachers, do homework, plan a service-learning activity, have an enrichment assembly, or even have an advisory party!
