APT Annual Events & Programs

Explore our many and varied events and programs. We have volunteer opportunities for everyone! Even if you have just a couple of hours to spare for one event, the APT welcomes you to join in our mission and get to know more members of our community. 

Spring Festival

Fun at the Lower School featuring games and more! The Spring Festival is a family-oriented event that celebrates community on April 24, 2020.. Many parent volunteers are needed to assist with registration, overseeing games and attractions, as well as set up. Contact Jacqueline Bourgeois,

Welcome Potluck

A wonderful way to start the year! Join new friends and old at the this school-wide event held in early September. Bring a favorite dish to share and enjoy this celebration to share summer stories and ring in a new school year. Steve & Aggies Café

A very popular place! Steve & Aggie’s has two locations at the Upper School. The Café is located near the Upper School gym and the Athletic Concession is operated from a trailer between the gym and the football field. The Café is open on school day afternoons (2:00-4:00 p.m.) to provide great food and snacks to students participating in sports or other after-school activities. Either the trailer or the Café is open for most varsity home events. Volunteering at Steve & Aggie's is a great way to meet other parents and students and is open to parents with students in any grade. Contact: Cathy Tyler and Ali Lipton

Faculty & Staff Appreciation

We love our dedicated faculty and staff. The APT sponsors fall and spring lunches on each campus to show our faculty and staff how much their efforts are appreciated. Shopping Programs

Who doesn't love to shop? Imagine helping the school at the same time! The APT shopping program is a year-round initiative that raises funds by participant shopping. Through participation in a variety of different partnerships (, Harris Teeter, Lands’ End and AmazonSmile), money is raised when parents, grandparents and alumni associate their grocery card numbers or accounts with programs that benefit our school. Multicultural Nights

Help us with these highly anticipated events. Every year the school celebrates the many rich dimensions of our students, families, faculty, and staff through several events throughout the year.  The school community highly values these opportunites to share their stories, travels, roots, foods, music, dances, and traditions with one another.  One of the most popular events is the Lower School Multicultural Celebration and Dance Party which will take place on Friday, March 13, from 6-8pm in Daniel Gym. Used Uniform Sales

The Used Uniform Committee collects gently used uniforms for resale at a significant discount. Everybody benefits! Volunteers are needed to assist with promoting the program.

Spring Party & Auction

Take a Leap with the Saints, 2020 Spring Party and Auction, February 29, 2020, 6:30-11:00 p.m at Army-Navy Country Club. 
The APT’s biggest event is the annual Spring Party and Auction. All profits raised go to the school. This primary APT fundraiser is made possible through parent and teacher support. Fall Family Festival

Family fun at Homecoming! The Fall Family Festival takes place Satruday, October 19, from 11:00am - 2:00pm at the Upper School during Homecoming & Reunion weekend. The Festival includes activities for all ages, such as moon bounces, games, scarecrow making, a magic show, spirit booth, music, and great food. It takes many helping hands to make it a success! Christmas Decorations Day
