APT Annual Events & Programs

The SSSAS Association of Parents and Teachers meets once a month and all are welcome!  We will begin the year meeting via zoom and then resume in person meetings later into the calendar year.  All meetings will be available via zoom to any parent or guardian who wants to participate.  The details for our meetings can be found in the online school calendar. Please check it regularly for the most up-to-date information. Although many of the traditional events put on by parent volunteers will be different this year, we look forward to working with SSSAS and our parent community to provide programming and be a resource that supports our parents and teachers alike.

Explore our many and varied events and programs. We have volunteer opportunities for everyone! Even if you have just a couple of hours to spare for one event, the APT welcomes you to join in our mission and get to know more members of our community.

Spring Festival

Fun at the Lower School featuring games and more! Stay tuned for more information about the Spring Festival, a family-oriented event that celebrates community. Many parent volunteers are needed to assist with registration, overseeing games and attractions, as well as set up. Contacts: Pam Nolan and Jesse Strauss.

Steve & Aggies Café

A very popular place! Steve & Aggie’s has two locations at the Upper School. The Café is located near the Upper School gym and the Athletic Concession is operated from a trailer between the gym and the football field. The Café is open on school day afternoons (2:00-4:00 p.m.) to provide great food and snacks to students participating in sports or other after-school activities. Either the trailer or the Café is open for most varsity home events. Volunteering at Steve & Aggie's is a great way to meet other parents and students and is open to parents with students in any grade. Contacts: Jennifer Adams and Gail Noren.

Faculty & Staff Appreciation

We love our dedicated faculty and staff. The APT sponsors activities on each campus throughout the year to show our faculty and staff how much their efforts are appreciated. Volunteers are needed to help plan and offer special treats to celebrate them. Contacts: Brooke Adams Azer, Deasy Heimbach, Traci Leonardo and Nancy Woodford

Multicultural Nights

Help us with these highly anticipated events. Every year the school celebrates the many rich dimensions of our students, families, faculty, and staff through several events throughout the year.  The school community highly values these opportunites to share their stories, travels, roots, foods, music, dances, and traditions with one another.  One of the most popular events is the Lower School Multicultural Celebration and Dance Party which will take place on Friday, March 13, from 6-8pm in Daniel Gym. Please join us for great food, engaging cultural displays and an end-of-the-evening dance party for all ages.  We would love to have you there.  Contact: Jacqueline Bourgeois,
