We are fully aware that an independent school education is a significant investment. A number of options are available to help you meet the cost of our education. You are encouraged to attend an Affording a Saints Education information session offered in November and January. Visit the Tuition and Financial Assistance page for the most accurate and detailed information.

While not required, students applying to our Middle and Upper School are strongly encouraged to schedule and submit the results of their standardized testing from SSAT, ISEE, WISC, or PSAT. Alternatively, applicants may take our 60-minute Math and Writing Assessment as part of their application for admission. Results are due by January 31, 2024.

The SSAT Exam and the Math and Writing Assessment are offered on the Upper School campus on Oct 14, Nov 11, Dec 9, and Jan 6, 2024. Applicants must register directly with SSAT in order to attend any testing sessions. The school code to have results reported to St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School is 6238.  Applicants planning to take our 60-minute Math and Writing Assessment can register through the application checklist.

SSSAS strongly recommends testing if the family is relocating from outside the Washington, D.C. area, if the student has been homeschooled, and for those who feel their transcript does not fully reflect their potential. Standardized testing can often serve to reinforce a student's strong candidacy or provide evidence of academic potential that has not yet been realized due to the student's current program or other circumstances. As always, please contact the Admission Office at 703-212-2705 if you have any questions or need assistance.

Families who have completed an application and paid the $75 fee, may return to the application checklist here:
