What Does it Mean to Be a Saint?

Lower School students explored what it means to be a Saint during their first Expedition Day of the school year.

Lower School Saints had a blast on their first eXpedition Day (XDay) of the year! They spent the day exploring the theme "What does it mean to be a Saint?” through collaborative interdisciplinary learning activities.

An Expedition day or ‘XDay’ occurs once in a seven-day cycle of the new schedule. There are no specials classes on XDays, instead, specials teachers work closely with homeroom teachers on activities, integrated learning, and fieldwork during field trips. Students will have the ability to spend extended periods of time delving deep into curriculum and learning, work on projects, or participate in grade level/ whole school events. Since all students and teachers in the Lower School will have the same schedule on an Xday, the day also provides time for within and across grade collaboration without interruption.
