First Grade Community Connections

First graders studied and built their very own community!
Town Fair is now known as Community Connections! First grade Saints showcased their miniature-sized buildings they created from recycled materials to proud visiting parents and friends this week.

Each child had to choose a building that would be a part of their community "Saintsville." The building needed to be a place where people either work, play, or solve problems.

For this project, students study:
-What makes a city a city?
-What are the jobs you would find in a city?
-What buildings and spaces are found in a city?
-What intersections (people, place, and purpose) and points of connection can be found between those jobs and spaces?
