Welcome to the APT!
The purpose of the Association of Parents and Teachers (APT) is to foster fellowship and build community among our Saints families, our faculty and staff. The APT creates connections through school-wide events and programs.
The SSSAS Association of Parents and Teachers meets once a month and all are welcome! The details for our meetings can be found in the calendar. We look forward to working with SSSAS and our parent community to provide programming and be a resource that supports our parents and teachers alike. |
Event forms and other documents are on the MySSSAS APT Resource Board!

Who We Are
The APT is composed of all parents/guardians of enrolled students, teachers, administrators, and school staff. Head of School Kirsten Adams represents our teachers and staff and is a voting member of the APT Executive Board.
What We Do
We invite you to attend our programs and events, including the Fall Festival, Celebration of Cultures, Teacher Appreciation events, Winter Parent Party and Auction, and our Spring Festival. The APT organizes class-level parent socials and other social opportunities to foster Saints connections in neighborhoods around the DMV area.
How You Can Volunteer
The partnership between parents and teachers at SSSAS is vital and one of the reasons our community is so special. Parents have opportunities to engage with other Saints parents and faculty by volunteering in the Lower School classrooms or by joining one of our school-wide committees. These include community service, environmental sustainability, teacher appreciation, school-wide festivals, and more. Volunteer opportunities are available to match your time and interest, from short shifts at one event to a year-long engagement on a committee.
If you are interested in volunteering please click on this link to complete an interest form, and an APT volunteer will be in touch to discuss your interest.
