Parents, I am delighted to welcome you to the Early Saints (three-year-olds) Admission page. At St. Stephen's and St. Agnes I am blessed to work with the families of our youngest learners.
Choosing a school for your child can be overwhelmingly exciting. We are fortunate in the admission season to partner with parents to learn more about their children's passions and interests. This is a great event for prospective families to learn about admission to Early Saints (Age 3) through 12th grade for the 2023-2024 school year. You will receive an introduction to SSSAS with the opportunity to then join a smaller session tailored to your family's interest:
Lower School for elementary students age 3 - grade 5 Middle School for students in grades 6 - 8 Upper School for high school students in grades 9 - 12.
The Lower School Admission team invites you to attend a Saturday morning tour of the Lower School. Prospective parents will enjoy a tour of the campus and classrooms. You can register for a time slot via your MySSSAS account.

Start an application at any time directly from your My SSSAS account that was established when you requested information or through the APPLY link. Once you are in your My SSSAS account you will be guided through the admission process via checklist prompts.
Hint: As with all online accounts, keep track of your secure log-in information so you can manage your application moving forward.If you have trouble remembering your log-in information, just click the Forgot Password link in the lower right corner of the log-in box.
Please submit your completed application and $75 fee by January 15, 2021. After this date, call the Lower School Admission Office at 703-212-2705 for more information.
After the completed application is received, parents will be invited by email to a specific date and time for their child's Visit Day.
Early Saints will be invited to an individual readiness screening with a current teacher in January. Parents will be notified of the date and time later in Fall 2020.
Application materials such as Teacher Evaluation and Release of Recordsforms are available in your My SSSAS portal account.
We recommend submitting both forms to your school or childcare provider after December 1, 2020, to ensure they are received by our office by January 15, 2021. Forms may be submitted via our My SSSAS online portal, emailed to HStarek@sssas.org or may be mailed to 400 Fontaine St. Alexandria, VA 22302.
We are fully aware that an independent school education is a major investment. A number of options are available to help you meet the cost of our education.
Yes, Extended Day Programs are available for students in our Early Saints program, JK, and K through grade 5. We also offer optional Enrichment activities to kindergarten through grade 5 Lower School students including those in Extended Day.
Lower School options include a morning session from 7 to 8 a.m. and afternoon options until 6 p.m. A quiet time for rest and/or homework is a part of each day. Crafts, games, and outdoor play fill the extended day afternoon. Drop-in care is available on a limited, reservation-only basis. Fees are assessed based on hours required.
And we are here to support you through the process every step of the way. How? We use an online portal, called My SSSASlocated on the top right of each web page. Once you establish your personal MySSSAS account, you can manage your child's application and schedule visits at your leisure - 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Getting started is easy!

If you forget your login information, you can request a reminder shown on the bottom right of the login screen.
Once logged in, select your student's name to open the checklist in the far left corner.
Navigate to the application checklist and follow the button prompts. (Checklist screen shown right).
Notice the online Schedule feature that displays the available appointments on a calendar. Choose a time that works for you.
Your account will also display updates to your application checklist status with updates, such as transcripts and recommendations, that generally appear within 24 hours.
Once your student is enrolled, this same portal manages academic progress and is a family resource where homework assignments and grades are posted. Parents and students appreciate having one location to manage all their school information.
