Our Philosophy

At St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School we feel that the values of integrity, leadership, sportsmanship, and goodness lie at the core of the Saints athletic program. Our goal is to provide a supportive atmosphere where our coaches will encourage teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, self-discipline, perseverance, and leadership. The athletic program is grounded in the ability of our student-athletes to compete with dignity and display sportsmanship at every competition.

St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School is proud to belong to two regionally competitive athletic conferences. The boys compete in the Interstate Athletic Conference (I.A.C.) and the girls in the Independent School League (I.S.L). In addition, we are a member of the Virginia Independent School Athletic Association (VISAA). These leagues are strong and balanced, and offer the opportunity to compete against other schools that are similar in size as well as in athletic and academic philosophy.
